Uniontown Teenager in Critical Condition Following Shooting

UNIONTOWN, PA – A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot at a home in Uniontown, Fayette County, on Monday night.

Uniontown Police report that the suspect, 36-year-old Nathan Glasscock, forcibly entered the home on Carlisle Street and shot the teenager, who is reportedly his girlfriend.

The incident escalated when Glasscock initially confronted the victim’s 18-year-old brother and later, the victim’s grandmother, Karen Leydig.

Glasscock allegedly aimed at Leydig but accidentally shot the teenager. He is now facing charges, including attempted homicide.

The victim, after undergoing surgery, is currently in a neurological unit. This case is handled by the Uniontown Police Department.
