Unlicensed Brooklyn Driver Takes Out Traffic Light in New Jersey Crash

WARREN TOWNSHIP, NJ—A motor vehicle accident occurred on Thursday morning on Stirling Rd near Mountain Ave. The driver lost control and struck a traffic signal.

The driver, identified as Shameel Bemandez, 32, from Brooklyn, NY, was issued summonses for being an unlicensed driver and delaying traffic.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The on-call duty hook removed the vehicle involved. Somerset County Public Works was called to the scene to handle the necessary repairs.
