Update on Ongoing Search for Missing Roxbury Woman

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – On June 7, Lara Emanuele, a 46-year-old Roxbury resident, was reported missing when she failed to return home from work. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, along with multiple other agencies, has been leading a coordinated effort to locate her.

The search and investigation, encompassing the Berkshire Valley State Wildlife Management Area and surrounding regions, were initiated when Emanuele’s vehicle was discovered in a hotel parking lot on Howard Boulevard on June 8. The operation utilizes officers, K-9 units, trained civilians, and technical resources like drones.

Review of surveillance footage, digital communications, and interviews has confirmed that Emanuele left her vehicle voluntarily. Her cell phone was also recovered from her vehicle. Despite her disappearance not being deemed suspicious, there is concern for her wellbeing, and the case remains active as she has not yet been located. Any information that could assist the search should be directed to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
