Urbana Lottery Player Wins $50K on Scratch-Off

URBANA, Ohio — A lucky lottery player in Urbana won $50,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s new Cash Plus scratch-off, lottery officials announced Tuesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Just Smokes #4, located at 226 Miami Street in Urbana. After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $36,000.

Cash Plus is a $10 scratch-off offering a top prize of $300,000. As of Tuesday, there are four top prizes remaining in the game, along with several other significant prizes.

The Ohio Lottery continues to offer a wide range of scratch-off games, contributing over $33 billion to education across the state since 1974.
