US considers dropping sanctions against Israeli billionaire Dan Gertler – WSJ

(Reuters) – The United States has considered a plan to drop sanctions against Dan Gertler, an Israeli mining magnate accused of corruption, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

This plan would allow him to take part in mining deals with Saudi Arabia, the report added.
