US forecaster sees 40% chance of cyclone over eastern tropical Atlantic

(Reuters) – An area of low pressure located over the eastern tropical Atlantic has a 40% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said early Wednesday.

“A tropical depression is likely to form by this weekend over the central tropical Atlantic,” the Miami-based forecaster said.
