US House Republicans defeat their own defense spending bill

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives failed to move forward on a fiscal 2024 defense spending bill on Tuesday, as Republicans remained stymied by party infighting less than two weeks before a possible government shutdown.
