Utica Man Fired Shots at Group, Arrested

UTICA, NY – A Utica man has been charged in connection with a shots fired incident earlier this week on Lansing Street near Morris Street, police announced Wednesday.

Investigators identified Kanye Holmes as the individual who discharged a firearm during the incident, allegedly firing at unknown people before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Holmes now faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a firearm, and reckless endangerment in the first degree.

Police said the case remains active as detectives continue to gather additional evidence.
