Utica Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect, Victim Expected to Recover

UTICA, NY – On Friday, Utica Police arrested 32-year-old Hector McClain in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in Oneida Square. Officers were called to the scene around 8:45 PM and found McClain inside a nearby convenience store, holding a bloody knife.

McClain was taken into custody without incident.

The victim was discovered in the area with multiple stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.

McClain faces charges of attempted assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. His arraignment is scheduled for later this week.
