Utica police investigating gunfire incident on Clinton Place

UTICA, N.Y. — Utica Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on July 26 near the intersection of Clinton Place and Oneida Street after receiving a ShotSpotter alert for multiple gunshots.

Officers responded to the scene and recovered several spent 9mm shell casings on the sidewalk and lawn of a residence on Clinton Place. No injuries were reported.

The investigation has been assigned to the department’s GIVE Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact the GIVE Unit at (315) 520-0842.
