Utica Police Raid Home Suspected of Drug Trafficking

UTICA, NY – A collaborative effort leads to significant narcotics bust in Utica.

On March 22, the Utica Police Department, together with Oneida County Sheriff Narcotics investigators and the UPD Patrol Division, executed a search warrant at 225 Herkimer Rd apartment B20. The operation was the result of ongoing complaints about narcotics trafficking in the area. The search led to the discovery of felony-weight cocaine, packaging and scales, and a notable amount of cash.

Nazir Maynard, 21, and Ruby Silvagnoli, 25, both from Utica, have been arrested following the investigation. Charges against them include two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
