Utica police seek owner of dog found on Dewitt Street

UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the owner of a black and tan lab mix that was found on Dewitt Street on Friday evening.

The dog, whose owner remains unknown, was discovered by officers during routine patrols. Police have not released further details about the animal’s condition but are working to reunite it with its rightful owner.

Authorities are encouraging anyone who recognizes the dog or has information about its owner to contact the Utica Police Department at 315-223-3461.

The department is committed to ensuring the dog’s safe return and has asked for the community’s assistance in spreading the word about the found pet.
