Utica Woman Charged for Slashing Tires

UTICA, NY – A recent act of vandalism leads to charges for a local resident.

Utica Police report that in late February 2024, a vehicle suffered extensive damage, including several slashed tires, prompting an investigation. The victim, upon reviewing surveillance footage, identified the suspect involved in the act of vandalism. The severity of the damage warranted the involvement of the Criminal Investigations Division.

On March 25, Justine Wells, a 19-year-old from Utica, surrendered to authorities. She has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the third degree, following the conclusive investigation into the incident.
