Utica woman charged in January burglary that netted $10,000 in cash and property

UTICA, N.Y. — A 50-year-old Utica woman has been arrested in connection with a January burglary in which nearly $10,000 in cash and property were stolen from an apartment on Bleecker Street, police said.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Bleecker Street on January 13, 2025, after it was reported that someone had removed the apartment’s front door and committed the theft.

Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, Sanela Dizdarevic was identified as the suspect and was arrested on July 14. She is charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny.
