Vandalism Reported At Fairmont Park In Manassas

Manassas, Va. – Police are investigating an act of vandalism that occurred at Fairmont Park, located at 9801 Fairmont Ave., in Manassas.

Officers responded to the park on August 14 at approximately 10:26 a.m. after receiving a report of derogatory language spray-painted on a bench, a tree, and the nearby ground area. The vandalism is believed to have occurred sometime between 5:00 p.m. on August 13 and 9:00 a.m. on August 14.

Park authorities were notified and are in the process of removing the markings. The language did not appear to contain any threats, and no additional markings have been reported in the area.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to identify those responsible for the vandalism.
