PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 21-year-old Venezuelan woman was found stabbed to death and hidden inside a futon wrapped in a sheet and shower curtain over the weekend in a Philadelphia apartment, authorities said.

Philadelphia police responded to a call just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday at an apartment on the 4400 block of Frankford Avenue in the city’s Frankford neighborhood. There, officers discovered the woman’s body concealed inside a futon. She had been stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released by authorities, but friends and former co-workers told local media she was an “outgoing” young woman who had arrived from Venezuela about a year ago. They described her as someone who “loved to have fun” and often spent time with friends and their children.

Investigation ongoing, no arrests announced

Police have not announced any arrests or named a suspect. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
