Victim of deadly subway stabbing identified in Union Square

NEW YORK, NY -The New York City Police Department has provided an update regarding the recent deadly stabbing on a subway train in Union Square. The deceased has now been identified as Tavon Silver, a 32-year-old male residing at 305 East 239 Street in the Bronx.

On Saturday, at approximately 4:02 AM, the police received a 911 call reporting an unconscious male with stab wounds on board a southbound ‘4’ train as it arrived at the 14th Street/Union Square station.

Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a 32-year-old male with stab wounds to the torso.

Emergency Medical Services arrived at the location and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue. Doctors pronounced him deceased at the hospital.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
