Victim stable after upper body gunshot wound in city shooting

BALTIMORE, MD – A 41-year-old man was hospitalized Friday afternoon after being shot in the upper body on Gay Street.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Gay Street around 1:55 p.m. for reports of gunfire.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Eastern District Shooting detectives have taken over the case and are working to determine what led to the incident. Police have not released details about a suspect or motive.
