Victims of home invasion shoot suspects, then charged for illegal firearm

SCHENECTADY, NY -On Tuesday, Schenectady Police officers responded to an attempted home invasion at a residence on Kings Road, following reports of shots fired

. Upon arrival, officers determined that several suspects had attempted to force entry into the home’s breezeway, prompting two adult residents to shoot at the intruders, appearing to strike one of them.

The suspects then fled the scene. Multiple shell casings were found by investigators.

Legrant J. Foster, 28, and Pierre D. Thompson, 23, were later arrested and face charges including reckless endangerment and burglary. Monique A. Serrano, 30, and David M. Jackson, 28, were charged with criminal possession of a firearm due to illegally possessing a handgun inside the residence.
