Surveillance video released in Southwest attempted coat robbery as police seek suspects
WASHINGTON, DC – Surveillance cameras captured the moment two suspects allegedly tried to snatch a victim’s coat on a Southwest street, and now police are asking the public to help identify them.
The attempted robbery occurred Monday, December 8, at approximately 4:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of 4th Street Southwest.
According to police, the suspects approached the victim and attempted to take the victim’s coat. The victim was able to flee the scene and contact officers. The suspects fled before police arrived.

Images of the suspects were captured by surveillance cameras. Investigators released photos and a video in an effort to identify the individuals involved. The video is available at https://youtu.be/p33GeYYWx8k.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone who can identify the suspects or has information about the incident is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for crimes committed in the District of Columbia.
