Virginia Beach City School Bus Driver Arrested for Child Related Sex Offenses

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has arrested Michael Gunther II, a 31-year-old Virginia Beach City Public School Bus Driver, following an investigation initiated by a parent’s allegations.

Gunther, residing in Virginia Beach, was taken into custody on Thursday, after an arrest warrant for one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and one count of Purchasing Tobacco for a Minor was obtained.

Upon executing a search warrant for Gunther’s residence, VBPD obtained additional evidence, resulting in him being charged with five counts of Possession of Obscene Material of a Minor.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
