Virginia Beach Detectives Arrest Suspect in Serial Robbery Case

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has arrested a suspect in connection with two recent robberies.

The first incident took place on September 8, at a business on the 2900 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. The suspect committed theft and implied possession of a firearm when confronted by an employee.

A similar event occurred on September 10, at a business on the 4300 block of Holland Road.

Detectives identified Solomon Johnson II, 28, of Portsmouth, as the suspect on September 11. Johnson, who was out on bond for similar offenses in Portsmouth, was arrested on September 14.

Johnson now faces charges of Robbery and Use of Firearm in connection with the Virginia Beach incidents.
