Virginia police announce the arrest of man wanted for Labor Day weekend murder

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder following the death of a 66-year-old Virginia Beach resident.

Officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department responded to a death investigation in the 3000 block of Roebling Lane on Sunday, September 1, at approximately 3:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Scott Seitz, 66, deceased at the scene.

Following an initial investigation, police arrested Seth Seitz, 25, also of Virginia Beach, and charged him with the murder of Scott Seitz. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
