VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Level Green Blvd. The incident was reported to the Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS) on the evening of April 5, at approximately 10:44 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene in the 1200 block of Level Green Blvd, officers discovered a 21-year-old male, identified as Kalani Bailey-Cortez of Norfolk, with a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pronounced Bailey-Cortez dead at the scene.
