Volunteers Help Cleanup Neighborhoods in Baltimore

Volunteers Help Cleanup Areas of Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — The Mayor’s Annual Citywide Fall Cleanup and Day of Service last weekend attracted unprecedented numbers, including Mayor Brandon M. Scott, City officials, volunteers, and community members. They fanned out across Baltimore to clean alleyways, walkways, and remove bulk trash and overgrown vegetation.

In total, 65 neighborhoods were represented by volunteers and community associations, marking a record for the biannual event.

Mayor Brandon M. Scott expressed gratitude for the efforts. “These biannual cleanups and days of service don’t only remove unwanted debris and beautify our neighborhoods – they also help us build community connections and pride in our city,” he said.

City officials encourage residents to continue the momentum by tending to litter around their properties and calling 311 for bulk trash removal and other issues.
