Volusia Sheriff’s Office Thwarts Carjacking, Recovers Stolen Corvette

DELAND, FL – In a swift response to a carjacking incident, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended two suspects and recovered the stolen vehicle, a black Corvette. The crime was reported at 3:47 p.m. on South Thompson Street in DeLand, where the victim was robbed at gunpoint.

With the aid of Air One, the law enforcement team managed to locate both suspects by 4:32 p.m. Alongside the vehicle, deputies found a Glock handgun with an extended magazine on the driver’s seat and another handgun on the ground nearby.
