WALDORF, MD — A Charles County man is planning to buy a new truck after winning a $50,000 top prize on a Gold Rush 7s Tripler scratch-off ticket during a routine stop at his preferred Lottery retailer.

The asphalt contractor purchased the $5 winning ticket at the Dash In on 30100 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall. The scratch-off revealed a “7” symbol matching the top prize, much to the man’s surprise.

In addition to the winner’s new vehicle plans, the Dash In will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize-winning ticket. The Gold Rush 7s Tripler game, which began sales in May, still has five $50,000 top prizes available, along with other prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
