Wallet Thief Wanted for Grand Larceny After Using Stolen Credit Cards

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a grand larceny incident. The crime occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 1.

At approximately 2:20 am, a 34-year-old male victim reported that an unknown individual stole his wallet from his back pocket while inside of 78-11 Roosevelt Avenue. The wallet contained the victim’s banking cards and $340. The suspect attempted to use the victim’s credit card unsuccessfully at 77-02 Roosevelt Avenue and was last seen fleeing northbound on 77 Street.

The suspect is described as a male in his early 30’s, medium complexion, medium build, approximately 5’8” tall, last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tan sneakers.
