Wallingford draw delivers $40K payday to ticket holder

WATERBURY, Conn. — A lucky Connecticut Lottery player claimed a $40,000 Keno prize after purchasing a winning ticket at A & D Package Store in Waterbury, according to results released on Thursday.

The ticket was sold for a Keno game played in Wallingford, where the winning numbers matched the player’s selection to secure the high-tier payout.

The Connecticut Lottery has not yet released the name of the winner. Keno, a fast-paced draw game offered across the state, gives players the chance to win varying prize amounts depending on the number of spots played and matched.

Lottery prizes must be claimed within 180 calendar days from the draw date.
