Wanted woman spotted on Virginia Avenue taken into custody
Cumberland, MD – A late-night patrol turned into an arrest after an officer recognized a wanted woman walking along Virginia Avenue.
Just before midnight at approximately 11:55 p.m., an officer on patrol observed Mikia Corrine Meade, 25, who was wanted on a violation of probation warrant. The officer made contact and informed her of the warrant before placing her under arrest.
During a search, officers located CDS paraphernalia in Meade’s pocket. She was issued a citation for the paraphernalia and transported to Central Booking. Following a hearing before a District Court Commissioner, Meade was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
