Warrant Arrest Conducted in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – A warrant arrest for possession of a controlled substance took place on Thursday at 2:42 PM on North Washington Street. The defendant, identified as Jose Torres, 40, of Wilkes-Barre, was apprehended by officers on patrol in the area of East Union and North Washington Streets.

Officers were aware of Torres’ active arrest warrant from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department. Upon observing Torres, they made contact and subsequently took him into custody.

During the arrest process, officers conducted a search and found suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia on Torres. Following the search, Torres was transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment.

The incident was logged under IRC Number 240219941. Authorities are currently processing the case.
