New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy lost his cool and began shouting at protesters against government-mandated vaccinations and mask mandates.
“These folks back there have lost their minds, you’ve lost your minds,” Murphy said of the protesters. “You are the ultimate knuckleheads and because of what you are saying and standing for, people are losing their life…and you have to know that…look in the mirror. Look in the mirror.”
Murphy supporters then began chanting, “Murphy, Murphy!”
Looking in the mirror is something Murphy has avoided himself after thousands of nursing home and veteran care patients died last year after he and New Jersey Department of Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli forced long term care facilities to accept COVID-19 infect patients. As many as 7,000 people are claimed to have died as a result of that March 2020 order by the New Jersey Department of Health.
