New Jersey’s most powerful Democrat has been dethroned. New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney lost by 4 points in last Tuesday’s election to a relatively unknown truck driver, Republican Ed Durr. This week, Durr received a phone call from President Donald J. Trump to congratulate him on his win.
Durr and his team swept Democrats in the south Jersey county of Gloucester.
