Waterbury player wins $25K a year for life in Lucky for Life drawing

WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury woman has secured a prize that pays out $25,000 annually for the rest of her life after hitting big in the Connecticut Lottery’s Lucky for Life drawing.

Lottery officials said Elaine G of Waterbury purchased the winning ticket at Brass City Mini Market Deli Food LLC in Waterbury. She claimed her prize on August 25.

Lucky for Life is a multi-state draw game that offers two lifetime prize tiers: $1,000 a day for life for the top prize and $25,000 a year for life for the second-tier prize. Drawings are held every night at 10:30 p.m.

Winners in Connecticut can choose between annual lifetime payments or a one-time lump sum. All prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing date.
