Waterford woman wins $50K on scratch-off ticket at Cumberland Farms

WATERFORD, Conn. — A local woman is celebrating after winning $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket purchased at Cumberland Farms. Diane P. of Waterford bought the winning ticket from the “5X The Money 18th Edition” game at the Cumberland Farms store located at 4637 Hartford Turnpike.

The Connecticut Lottery confirmed the win from the Oct. 22 ticket purchase. The “5X The Money” game, a popular scratch-off, offers various prize amounts, with Diane securing the top prize of $50,000.

Cumberland Farms, the retailer where the winning ticket was sold, is expected to receive a retailer bonus for the sale.
