Fallston woman wins $50,000 on Let’s Make a Deal scratch-off after $25 ticket cash-in

Fallston, MD – A Harford County woman turned a modest scratch-off win into a life-changing prize when she hit for $50,000 on a Let’s Make a Deal scratch-off ticket.

Patricia Dowdy of Fallston had first won $25 on a Lucky 7s ticket. Instead of keeping the cash, she redeemed it for five Let’s Make a Deal tickets at the Wawa located at 1419 South Mountain Road in Joppa.

At first, Patricia thought she had won just $50. But a closer look revealed three extra zeroes, making it a $50,000 top prize. Her husband Jim joined her as she claimed the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters.

The Wawa retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The Let’s Make a Deal game launched in April with seven top prizes of $50,000, five of which have now been claimed.
