Westbury store sells $17K winning ticket in Take 5 midday lottery drawing

WESTBURY, NY – A simple lottery ticket became a $17,023.50 payday for one lucky player in Nassau County after hitting the top prize in Sunday’s midday Take 5 drawing.

The New York Lottery confirmed that the winning ticket was sold at DIMPY ENT INC, located at 815 Carman Avenue in Westbury. The winner has not yet come forward to claim their prize.

Take 5 numbers are drawn from a pool of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily — at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets can be redeemed for up to a year following the date of the drawing.

Officials did not release the winning numbers for the September 22 drawing but confirmed the Westbury ticket matched all five, securing the full top prize.
