GREENSBURG, PA – A Westmoreland County jury has found Stuart Ali guilty of first-degree murder and carrying firearms without a license after a week-long trial. The charges stem from a deadly shooting near North 7th Street and Gaskill Avenue in Jeannette in April 2021, which took the life of Marcus Davis.

The two had gotten into an argument on their way home from different bars in the area prior to the shooting.

Davis was shot ten times and was pronounced dead at the scene. The handgun used in the shooting was never recovered.

Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli expressed her appreciation to the jurors for their time and thoughtfulness during the trial, as well as to the county detectives, Jeannette Police, and Assistant District Attorney Jim Lazar for their investigative work and prosecution.

Ali’s sentencing will take place within the next three months.
