Who Does This? Florida Trooper Rescues Dog Abandoned and Tied to Fence in Deep Water Ahead of Milton

FHP Troopers in Tampa rescued a terrified dog found tied to a fence in a nearly belly-deep puddle along I-75 near Bruce B Downs Blvd. The abandoned dog was left helpless in rising water, prompting the troopers to step in and save it.

It is unclear if the dog was abandoned or had fled and got tangled.

Authorities are urging pet owners not to abandon animals in dangerous situations like this. Fortunately, the dog is now safe, but the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of caring for pets during extreme weather.
