Wildwood stabbing murder suspect Arrested

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ – The Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Robert Regalbuto of the Wildwood Police Department have recently announced the arrest of DaJohn L. Taylor, 18, from Hightstown, NJ, on first-degree murder charges.

Late Sunday night, the Wildwood Police Department received an emergency 911 call regarding a disturbance near Magnolia and Atlantic Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene to find 20-year-old Kaiden Braithwaite from Cliffwood, NJ, deceased from multiple stab wounds.

The initial investigation revealed that an argument escalated into a physical altercation between two groups. During the altercation, Taylor allegedly stabbed Braithwaite and two other individuals multiple times before fleeing the scene.

On Monday afternoon, Taylor turned himself into the Wildwood Police Department where he was then charged with Attempted Homicide and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Taylor is currently held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility awaiting court proceedings.
