WILKES-BARRE, PA — A Wilkes-Barre man was arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly assaulting a woman and her teenage son during a domestic dispute, according to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

Officers responded to a residence on Hanover Street at approximately 2:02 a.m. on January 8, 2025, following a report of a domestic disturbance.

Police say Leron Ellis, 34, arrived at the home intoxicated and demanded, “Where’s my food?” before grabbing a 34-year-old female victim by the hair and pulling her off a bed.

When the victim’s 14-year-old son tried to intervene, Ellis allegedly struck the boy and shoved him to the ground.

Ellis was taken into custody at the scene and transported to police headquarters for processing and arraignment.

No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
