Wilkes-Barre Police Arrest Man After Vehicle and Foot Pursuit

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — On July 25, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Wilkes-Barre City Police arrested Fernandito Arroyo, 26, following a vehicle and foot pursuit in the South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard area.

Officers on patrol attempted to stop a Dodge Charger driven by Arroyo near South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and East Northampton Street. Arroyo failed to stop, leading officers on a chase. The pursuit ended when Arroyo crashed his vehicle into several unoccupied cars. He then fled on foot but was apprehended shortly after.

Arroyo was transported to City Headquarters, where he was held for arraignment. He faces charges of fleeing and eluding, as well as evading arrest or detention on foot.
