Wilkes-Barre Police Arrest Man on Assault and Strangulation Charges

Wilkes-Barre, PA — On August 3, at 12:16 p.m., Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a domestic dispute report at a residence on South Sherman Street. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 21-year-old female victim who reported being assaulted by Jett Fleegle, 24, over several days.

The victim stated that Fleegle struck her in the head with a bottle, pushed her into a wall, and strangled her to the point where she could not breathe. EMS personnel treated the victim at the scene.

Fleegle has been charged with assault, strangulation, and reckless endangerment. The case is under investigation, and further details will be provided as they become available.
