Wilkes-Barre police investigate theft of parked vehicle on Madison Street

WILKES-BARRE, PA — The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is investigating the theft of a vehicle reported stolen from Madison Street on January 7, 2025.

Officers responded to the scene around 5:54 p.m. after a 24-year-old woman reported that her red 2016 Hyundai Sonata had been stolen overnight. The vehicle was parked near her residence when it was unlawfully taken.

The stolen vehicle bears Pennsylvania registration LZJ-1003.

Police have not identified any suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
