Wilkes-Barre Teen Faces Online Threats

Wilkes-Barre, PA – A report by the Wilkes-Barre Police Department reveals a 17-year-old girl from Wilkes-Barre is facing threats from an unknown person on social media. The incident was reported early Wednesday morning.

The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department stated that on Wednesday at 12:30 AM, the victim’s mother entered the City Headquarters to report the threats occurring on “Discord” and “Instagram.” The unknown individual identified himself as “Rico.”

According to the report, the suspect threatened the juvenile, stating that he kidnaps people and would release her personal information, a tactic known as doxxing. The victim’s mother provided these details to the authorities.
