Wilkes-Barre woman arrested after alleged bat attack during domestic dispute

Wilkes-Barre, PA – A 33-year-old woman was arrested after police said she struck a man multiple times with an aluminum bat during a domestic dispute on South Franklin Street.

The incident happened around 11:49 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17. Officers responded to a residence after receiving reports of a disturbance. A 48-year-old man at the scene told police that during a verbal altercation, the defendant, identified as Aijiah Grier-Wright of Wilkes-Barre, retrieved a bat and hit him several times.

Police later located Grier-Wright near West South and South Franklin streets. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to police headquarters for processing and arraignment.
