Willingboro Township Police Department Recognizes Police Officers

WILLINGBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Willingboro Township Police Department, under the leadership of Director of Public Safety Ian Bucs, celebrated its quarterly awards ceremony, acknowledging the dedication and service of several officers.

During this event, officers nominated by their supervisors for exceptional performance received recognition, with Officer P. Canales being honored as the “Officer of the Quarter” for the fourth quarter of 2023.

Other notable recognitions included Officer D. Wilcox, who was named “Officer of the Year”.


Detective R. Coupe was named “Detective of the Year,” and Sergeant B. Winkler received the “Supervisor of the Year” title for 2023.

Additionally, a special accolade, the Captain Gerald “V” Valenta Marksmanship Award, was presented to Officer C. Kennedy, marking the first recipient of this award.
