Wilmington player hits $500K jackpot on Monopoly scratch-off

WILMINGTON, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player struck it rich after purchasing a winning Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X ticket worth $500,000 at a Wilmington convenience store, lottery officials announced Monday.

The $10 ticket was sold at Krishna One Stop, located at 7111 OH 73. After required state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $360,000.

Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X is a popular scratch-off game offering multiple chances to win. As of March 24, four top prizes of $500,000 remain in circulation.

The winner has not been publicly identified. Lottery officials remind players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and follow official claim procedures.

Since its founding in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to support education across the state.
