Witnesses stop juvenile stabbing attempt in New Cumberland

NEW CUMBERLAND, PA – On Tuesday, at around 5:00 pm, a 14-year-old New Cumberland resident attempted to stab a 14-year-old Lower Allen Township resident and a 12-year-old New Cumberland resident in the 1100 block of Drexel Hills Boulevard. The attack was interrupted by adults who seized the knife, preventing any injuries.

The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended by the New Cumberland Borough Police Department.

Cumberland County Juvenile Probation declined to place the juvenile suspect, who was released to their family. The case will proceed through the Cumberland County Juvenile Court system on charges of Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault.
