Woman Arrested After Rampage at Local Cemetery

CUMBERLAND, MD – A Cumberland woman who went on a rampage at a local cemetery has been arrested and is now facing more charges.

On July 20, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a video posted on Facebook.

The video depicted a female, later identified as Batricia Lynn Nave of Cumberland, engaged in disturbing activities at Rest Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery.

In the video, Ms. Nave removed flags and kicked flowers from grave sites.

In response to the actions depicted in the video, charges were filed against Ms. Nave at the district court. She was issued and served a criminal summons for malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00, disorderly conduct in a cemetery and destroying graveyard plants.

During her arrest, she assaulted a police officer.
